Faith Ringgold

Faith Ringgold is an artist, professor, and author. Ringgold’s work is inspired by African cultures, the Civil Rights Movement, and her own personal experiences. 

She is most well known for her series of painted quilts. These quilts bridge craft, fine art, and storytelling in a unique and beautiful way. She is also the author and illustrator of over 17 children’s books.
